We charge an initial consultation fee of £60 (£50 + £10 VAT), which can be deducted from the further costs you incur if we are instructed to proceed. At the consultation you will receive initial advice and we will gain a sufficient insight into your case to be able to advise as to the best route forward.
We charge the following fixed fees for straightforward matters where to debt outstanding is less than £10,000.00:
When you issue your case at Court, you will pay an issue fee. Those fees are presently:

We charge a fixed fee for dealing with the Court process for you. This includes issuing the claim at Court, dealing small claims mediation, disclosure, witness statements and preparation for Trial.
Our fixed fees depend upon the value of the outstanding debt:
Up to £3,000.00 – £1,200.00 (£1,000 + £200 VAT) and disbursements
£3,000.00 to 10,000.00 – £1,800.00 (£1,500 + £300 VAT) and disbursements
These fees do not include any representation at Trial. Representation at Trial in a case worth less than £10,000.00 would cost in the region of £360.00 (£300 + £60 VAT) to £900.00 (£750 + £150 VAT)
NOTE: There will be lower value cases in which it is not practical for you to incur our fees as they outweigh the amount claimed. In those instances, you may wish to instruct us just for specific sections of the case and deal with the remainder of the matter yourself.
Disbursements may include VAT dependent upon the nature of that disbursement and whether the service provide is VAT registered.
We charge the following fixed fees for straightforward matters where to debt outstanding is more than £10,000.00 but less than £25,000.00
When you issue your case at Court, you will pay an issue fee. That issue fee is presently 5% of the value of the claim.
Any work that we are instructed to complete in relation to the Court process is charged at our hourly rate of £230.40 (£192 + £38.40 VAT). Usual steps will include dealing with directions, disclosure, witness statements, negotiations and hearing preparations.
On average our fees will range from £4,200.00 (£3,500 + £700 VAT) to £8,400.00 (£7,000 + £1,400 VAT) and disbursements.
If you wish to be represented at Trial, we will usually recommend a barrister attends for these matters. Their fee usually ranges between £1,800.00 (£1,500 + £300 VAT) and £4,200.00 (£3,500 + £700 VAT) depending upon the location and complexity of the hearing.
We charge the following fixed fees for straightforward matters where the debt outstanding is more than £25,000.00 but less than £100,000.00
When you issue your case at Court, you will pay an issue fee. That issue fee is presently 5% of the value of the claim.

A NO OBLIGATION quote for legal costs on your case will be provided during initial consultation. We will detail all the work that will be included within that price. No work will be undertaken until you have understood what we will do and agreed to the associated fees.
There may be unforeseen circumstances which require that quote to be revised. This may relate to an increase in complexity, a change in your instructions, an application being made or becoming necessary to make or if there are significantly more communications than normal between the parties.
You will be kept fully advised as to the costs position as your case progresses and any changes to our estimates. We will advise on the nature of that circumstance, why it has impacted upon the original costs quotation and we will provide a revised quote for your consideration and approval.
Disbursements may include VAT dependent upon the nature of that disbursement and whether the service provide is VAT registered.
No additional costs will be incurred until these have been understood and approved by you.
All work is completed by or supervised by a qualified solicitor.
Timescales
The Court process usually takes in the region of 9 months if the matter is to reach a Trial, but it can take up to 24 months in more complex matters which require longer case management by the Court or if parties make applications which lengthen the process.
