On completion of my studies, (LLB Law Degree (Hons) – Liverpool John Moores University and Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice – The College of Law), I gained experience in a wide range of legal matters at a high Street firm before joining Michael Halsalls in 2010 when I began to specialise in Personal Injury.
I later joined Carpenters where I spent a number of years in the Serious Injuries Department before leaving in 2015 to set up Johnson and Boon.
Since then I have focused mainly on high value civil litigation, landlord & tenant disputes and commercial matters including contracts and alcohol licensing. I have achieved numerous successes on behalf of our clients including high value settlements, successful negotiations in complex commercial deals and in one particular instance a great result for a client came to me with a judgement (of significant value) already in place against them. I was able to get the Judgement set aside, subsequently defending the case in full, and recovering the client’s legal costs from the other side.
It’s not all purely commercial though, as we also work in support of local community based organisations and charities such as Dial West Cheshire.
In addition to my personal case load, I am the Compliance Officer for financial practice within the firm and I also supervise the Tenancy Deposit Team.
Outside of the office I’m a Governor at Our Lady and St Edwards Primary School, train in Mixed Martial Arts and am a keen supporter of Liverpool FC.
